The fact that privilege is a thing and that many people are disconnected from reality is no secret. Recent interviews with her family revealed the hated star’s business practices. Despite the fact that their family has some amazing business skills, the way it came off was terrible. If you are new here my name is Joi. I found the interview with the Kardashians so problematic. Society places so much pressure on working, emphasis on the middle class and lower class that these women are so out of touch with them. Kim Kardashian spoke else on how women need to get off the lazy bums and get out and work hard for what they want. Kim shared her own story to illustrate the importance of hard work. I’m not attempting to take from her efforts. However, privilege played a role and her. Check out the video below!

The responses are a combination of anger and humor. There are so many people who work their butts are off to make ends meet. Despite that, prices have gone up so much for the middle and lower classes, and people are no longer being paid their worth. Yet the upper class always has something to say about our work ethics. I am a person who believes in the work-life balance. You can’t work people like slaves and not let them relax and focus on their mental health as well. Kim Kardashian should’ve kept her mouth closed. When it comes to issues like this and politics, I don’t think the celebrities should be speaking on it unless they are well educated. There are so many people who are struggling just to get their families fed and her family has a history of taking from other groups.
All of this was said during International Women’s Month. I think she needs to take a step back and realize that Peoples definition of hard work differs. Also, the amount of privilege you have will affect how successful you are and how much hard work you have to put in. So she says stop being so heartless and focus on her success in her life.
