“When The One You Could Love Forever Slips Away

Excerpt From: Thought Catalog. “The Art Of Letting Go.” Apple Books. https://books.apple.com/us/book/the-art-of-letting-go/id1088918035

You can love someone so much…But you can never love people as much as youcan miss them.”

Hey loves,

With February being a short month, I had to fit many of the chapters into one post. I do not mind, there are several chapters but they are short. So, let us end this month off with a bang. Before I get into the book and its ending.

Before we get started.

If you haven’t already check out the posts before, do that first. I do not want to spoil the ending for you. Trust me, it is worth your time.

Also, if you are not already following my page, I would appreciate if you do.! Let’s reach new heights this year.

HELLO EVERYONE

In this chapter, the author also wrote another letter to someone from the past. I keep telling you all in multiple posts, that writing a letter (whether you send it or not), allows you say what you’ve always wanted to say.

You know what I hate about this generation, the fact that vulnerability is looked so down upon. Trust me, I could deliver some of the letters I’ve written, I would. At least those people would know exactly how I feel.

Most would hate someone, if they did some of the things some from my past have, but I don’t. “

“You have been a true light in my life. And if nothing else, let these words speak to the profound and wonderful influence you have on the lives you touch. You certainly did on mine.”

Perspective

As hard as it is, we have to look at a breakup as the start of a new chapter. I can vouch for that, for the simple fact, that so many things have happened since my most recent breakup. I guess you can call it, reaching new levels.

Are low maintenance friendships worth it?

Are there things I wish I could change about a guy from my past? Absolutely not! Because I fell for them because of who they were. Obviously, they had some things they needed to work on, but don’t we all. Maybe it’s weird that I don’t speak ill of my ex’s but, how could I?

“Read This If You Can’t Forget Someone Who Has Already Forgotten You

“What You Should Do When You Want To Run Back To Them”

These are just a few of the chapter titles. These are helpful tips you need to remember. Especially in your healing process. I know there have been times where my thoughts got dark, but perspective changed my feeling about moving on.

“8 Reasons To Thank The People Who Hurt You Most In Life”

Excerpt From: Thought Catalog. “The Art Of Letting Go.” Apple Books. https://books.apple.com/us/book/the-art-of-letting-go/id1088918035

This is a list of the reasons the author gave us.

“I know that’s what people say– you’ll get over it. I’d say it, too. But I know it’s not true. Oh, youll be happy again, never fear. But you won’t forget. Every time you fall in love it will be because something in the man reminds you of him.”

The List

“ The people who were able to hurt you most were also the people who you were able to love the most.”

“ Difficult relationships often push you to change your behavior for the better.

“What you learn and who you become is more important than how you temporarily feel.”

“You don’t come across these people by accident, they were your teachers and catalysts.”

“Even if it wasn’t your fault, it is your problem, and you get to choose what you do in the aftermath.”

“The people who have been through a lot are often the ones who are wiser and kinder and happier overall.”

“It showed you what you do deserve.”

“Truly coming to peace with anything is being able to say: “Thank you for that experience.”

What I learned from this book, is that moving on after a breakup is a process. I have every right to take my time and heal. I will not let those friend and family who keep trying to force me to go on dates when I am not ready. Heal so you do not bleed on others. We have to stop the cycle of toxic. You guys should really check out the book because it is a good read. Let me know in the comments how long it took you to heal after a break up.
