- they are usually the narcissist’s friends, family, or colleagues
- they are usually unaware of what they are doing
- they are usually not aware of the narcissist’s true nature

having narcissistic personality disorder doesn’t make people evil or abusive. while some abusers have npd, many more dont but use these abuse tactics. connecting emotional abuse to a certain personality disorder is very harmful to the not-abusive npd-havers, the ppl with npd who are victims of abuse, and the ppl who get abused in a similar way by people who don’t have npd. saying having any mental disorder or any disability makes you more likely to be “evil” or “a bad person” or an abuser is horrible and ableist and only hurts everyone.
