Crafting my Story

Share your story with someone. You never know how one sentence of your life story could inspire someone to rewrite their own.Demi Lovato

Hey Loves,

I want to apologize, I have been gone so long! I am dealing with life changes that I look forward to sharing! So far, 2021 is going amazing. How is it for everyone else? Let me know in the comments below.

In the last post, I told you that I am reading a book once a month this year. If you have not seen what book that I chose, here it is.

Last Weeks Post

Even the hard times are part of your life story. If you acknowledge them and move past them, they eventually add up to the experience that makes you wise.Miley Cyrus

Chapter 2

This second chapter is about taught me about rebuilding and crafting what I want my story to be. “It is possible to heal when we claim our story” That stuck out to me. Everything that has happened to me, has made me the person that I am today. Although some of the situations hurt me, I wouldn’t go back and change it. There is power in a story. “How we tell the story of our lives, is more meaningful than what actually happens to us.”

My story and how I tell it is how I can tell how self-aware I am. Honestly, I like to look back and think about how that situation has changed me and what I could learn from it. My “core issues (tender spot/scar), were very traumatic and for sure has affected how I look at things today, This chapter talks about how I can’t let that mess up my present life. Not feeling from past trauma can mess up a lot of things. I promise you, I have dated unhealed guys if that is a word.

Furthermore

Life isn’t happening to you; life is responding to you. Life is your call! Every area of your life is your call. You are the creator of your life. You are the writer of your life story. You are the director of your life movie. You decide what your life will be – by what you give out. Rhonda Byrne

I want to go from victim to survivor. So many things have happened that I did not deserve, but my life has changed positively from it. I look at all the characters in my story from my past. Those who stuck by my side, and those who left after teaching me a lesson.

Good writers show rather than tell. Stories are told in action. Life stories are no different.Donald Miller

Themes of my Life

This chapter, the author wanted me to look back and come up with five themes to describe my story so far and 3 to describe how I want my next chapter to go:

  1. Good vs. Evil
  2. Forgiveness
  3. Isolation
  4. Love
  5. Betrayal
  1. Beauty
  2. Courage
  3. Justice

Fun Fact

I have already started to write my memoir, and let me tell you, it would be boring without all of those situations that have happened. Your Story can help someone, and you may never know. Let me know in the comments below, what would be one theme to describe your life so far? Let me know in the comments below!

Stay tuned for the next post on chapter 3. This book is getting really good. Don’t forget to subscribe, like, comment and share!
