5 Winter Cocktails to make for the Holiday

Winter Cocktails

Winter is here, and that means we’re all curling up by the fireplace with a warm drink in hand. These cocktails are perfect for winter: they’re warming, they taste great, and they’ll keep you nice and toasty while you sip on them.

Hot spiced cider

Spiced cider is a great choice for the cold winter months. It’s perfect for holiday parties and can be made with or without alcohol, depending on what you’re serving it with.

Spices include cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice—the classic flavors of the season. You can add any mixture of these spices to your hot spiced cider that you like!

The base ingredient in this beverage is usually apple juice or hard cider—but you can use any kind of fruit juice that you like instead! Ginger beer makes an interesting addition as well; try using ginger ale if your taste buds prefer something sweeter than plain cider but not quite as sweet as ginger beer. If none of these options appeal to you at all, try adding some rum instead—it’ll give it just enough kick to keep things interesting while still staying true to its roots as a warm treat during cold nights!

Warm up with a boozy hot toddy

A hot toddy is a classic winter drink that warms you up with a little bit of alcohol. This cocktail can be made with rum, whiskey, brandy or even tequila (if you’re into that kind of thing). Serve it hot for a warming drink to sip on during cold winter nights. Or make it with boiling water and let it cool down before serving so you don’t burn your mouth off. Either way works! Garnish the drink with cinnamon and nutmeg for an extra holiday feel.
