5 Ways to Style Jeans this Autumn

If you’re like me, all you want to do in the fall is curl up with a blanket and a cup of tea. But if you’re also like me, that means there are still times when you need to leave the house and be stylish at work or out on the town. So how can we reconcile our love for comfort with our need for style? Simply put: jeans. Denim pants are one of those classic staples that can take us through any season. Just make them more stylish by adding something else on top!

denim jacket

A denim jacket is a staple in any wardrobe and can be worn with jeans or skirts. It’s a great way to add some edge to your outfit, especially if you’re looking for something that doesn’t scream “I’m wearing a denim jacket!”

A denim jacket is also an excellent layering piece. If it’s chilly outside but you don’t want to wear something bulky like sweaters or scarves (or even worse: parkas), try adding one on top of another layer like an oversized sweater or t-shirt!

derby shoes

Derby shoes are a classic style that can be worn with jeans or other pants. They’re a great alternative to heels, as they are comfortable and easy to walk in. Derby shoes come in many styles and colors so you can find something that works for you.

classic pumps

Pumps are a great way to wear jeans this fall. They can be dressed up or down, they’re easy to pair with other items, and they’re a classic shoe that will never go out of style. Here are some tips on how to wear them:

  • If you want your pumps to have more of an edgy vibe, try pairing them with a leather jacket or ripped tee (and maybe even some combat boots).
  • If you want something more feminine and ladylike, try pairing them with a flowy dress or skirt and blouse combo (and maybe even some ballet flats).

turtleneck sweater

A turtleneck sweater is the perfect way to style jeans this autumn. It can be casual or dressy, depending on how you wear it. You can wear a denim jacket over your turtleneck sweater and pair it with jeans for a casual look. If you want to dress things up a bit, try pairing your turtleneck with some boots or pumps in lieu of flats–it’ll add some height and interest to your look! And if you’re feeling extra bold, try pairing those heels with mules (so good).

mules

Mules are a great alternative to heels. They’re stylish, but still comfortable and can be worn with jeans or dresses. You can dress them up or down depending on the occasion and they’re a great way to add height!

They will make your legs look longer too which is always a bonus!

The post explores attachment styles, a concept originating from John Bowlby’s research on infant-caregiver bonds and its adaptation to adult relationships. • The Loneliness Nobody Talks About When the Weather Turns
Fall loneliness is subtle yet impactful, often exacerbated by shorter days and reduced social invitations. It manifests as feelings of exclusion, unfulfilling social interactions, and comparisons to idealized gatherings. To combat this, acknowledge feelings, initiate connections, and build regular social touchpoints, while recognizing the difference between chosen solitude and unwanted loneliness.
  • Cuffing Season: What It Actually Costs You
Cuffing season prompts many to seek relationships out of fear of loneliness rather than genuine connection. This urgency often leads to ignoring red flags and forming superficial bonds that dissolve post-holidays. It’s vital to reflect on true intentions and maintain standards, prioritizing genuine compatibility over seasonal pressures.
  • Nobody Warns You How Much Shorter Days Mess With You
As daylight decreases, many experience a decline in energy, mood, and motivation. This seasonal shift is normal and can be managed by adopting simple habits like morning light exposure, maintaining a consistent sleep schedule, and engaging in light physical activity. Adjusting expectations during this time is essential for well-being.
