5 Holiday Starbucks Drinks you should Try

5 Holiday Starbucks drinks you should try

If you’re like me, your Starbucks order is basically the same every time you go. After all, who wants to spend their limited free time thinking about what coffee to get? But it’s high time to change things up a little bit — and I’m here to help. I’ve found some festive drinks that’ll make your holiday shopping experience even more magical (and also make me feel less guilty about spending too much money). So try something new this year:

Pumpkin spice latte

The pumpkin spice latte is a seasonal drink, so you won’t be able to get your hands on it during the rest of the year. But if you’ve got a taste for pumpkin, this is definitely worth ordering.

The drink is made with pumpkin syrup (not actual pumpkin), steamed milk, and espresso. It’s topped with whipped cream and cinnamon, which gives it the traditional PSL aesthetic. It’s available in fall/winter months only—so sadly you won’t be able to enjoy one in July!

Iced coffee

Iced coffee is a delicious drink that you can order at Starbucks. It tastes sweet without being overly sweet, and it’s the perfect temperature for summer!

The best way to enjoy iced coffee is to get a venti with soy milk. To make it even better, add one pump of sugar-free vanilla syrup and two packets of raw sugar (which means no more than 2 grams of sugar per serving). This will get your caffeine fix without giving you the jitters or affecting your sleep quality at night.

White chocolate mocha

If you like white chocolate, then you’ll love this drink. It’s made with white chocolate syrup and espresso, so it has a sweet, creamy taste that is sure to leave you wanting more. You can add whipped cream and caramel syrup if you want to make it even better! It’s served hot or cold depending on your preference. If you’re looking for something to warm up with when it’s cold outside, then this is definitely the drink for you!

Peppermint Mocha

A peppermint mocha is made with chocolate syrup, espresso, and steamed milk, then topped with a peppermint drizzle. It’s not quite as simple as it sounds—there are actually two different names for the drink: “peppermint mocha” and “peppermint latte.” The only difference between the two is that a latte is made with steamed milk and foam while an iced coffee might be topped off with whip cream. Since both are delicious treats in their own right, you can order either one at your local Starbucks.

In addition to enjoying this seasonal drink during winter holidays like Christmas or Hanukkah (or if you’re just feeling festive), you can also order it year-round if you simply enjoy drinking flavored coffee! Just remember that no matter when or where you order yours; be sure to have plenty of time on hand because making this delicious concoction takes quite some time due to its many layers of complexity–plus there’s always going to be someone else in line waiting too!

Gingerbread latte

The gingerbread latte is a seasonal drink, so you’ll need to get it while you can. It’s definitely worth the wait though; this drink is made of espresso, steamed milk, and gingerbread syrup. The whipped cream on top adds an extra touch of sweetness to an already sweet treat—but we’d recommend skipping it if you’re lactose intolerant!

If you’re looking for a hot beverage that will warm your soul during the holidays or even when it’s freezing outside (or both), then this is definitely one of the drinks to try out!

Caramel macchiato

If you’re already a fan of the caramel macchiato and want to try something new, there are some great holiday drinks that will make your barista’s day. If you don’t know what a caramel macchiato is, it’s a very popular holiday drink at Starbucks. The typical recipe consists of espresso, steamed milk and caramel syrup. Not only does this drink taste good but it also looks pretty too!

If you’re looking for something different than your usual pumpkin spice latte or peppermint mocha this season, we recommend trying out one of these holiday recipes:

  1. I am seriously at Starbucks right now!! Already ordered, but will be picking one of these for next time!! You are speaking my language!! Sharing on Facebook and pinning!!

  2. This is great! I love coffee but always getting the same order at Starbucks as I’m not too sure what to try, it’s like there’s too many choices that it’s challenging to pick one. Thank you for the recommendations!

  3. It’s like desserts in a cup! I imagine that whoever create these drinks go to the pastry shop and after a sugar rush they start experimenting and recreating the experience with coffee.
