Make a plan.

Find your niche.

A niche is a topic that you’re passionate about and know a lot about. For example, if I were to start a blog about my love for dogs, it would be considered a niche because I have knowledge about dogs that most people don’t have. You can find your own niche by doing research on topics related to your interests and finding out what information isn’t already available online or elsewhere in media (books, podcasts).

A good way of finding niches is by checking out Reddit’s r/podcasts subreddit. There are so many different podcasts out there with varying topics!

Create evergreen content.

Evergreen content is content that’s always relevant, no matter the date. It can be repurposed and reused to create new blog posts, podcasts, and even videos.

  • Create evergreen content by asking yourself these questions:
  • What topic do you want to write about?
  • Who will benefit from reading this post?
  • How can you make this information more accessible for your audience?

Optimize your site and social media.

Optimize your site and social media.

A blog on your website is a good first step, but it’s not enough to grow an audience. You also need to provide a way for people who visit your site to easily subscribe via email so that they can receive updates from you in the future. A call-to-action (CTA) button at the top or bottom of each article can be used for this purpose. Just make sure it’s clear how visitors will be notified when they click it!

If you have more than one podcast episode per week, consider creating an email list where listeners can sign up for new episodes as they’re released instead of having them search through iTunes or other directories every time there’s something new available.

Write consistently and guest post on other sites.

Write consistently and guest post on other sites.

As a blogger, the best way to grow your audience is to write content that people want to read. You can do this by writing on a regular schedule, and publishing new blog posts at least once per week or every two weeks. If you’re interested in podcasting, keep in mind that it takes time before listeners start coming back for more than one episode because they don’t know who you are yet (more on this later).

To get started with writing for other websites and magazines (and eventually, get paid), look for opportunities where there are already established audiences who would be interested in what you have to say. This could include traditional print publications or online sites like Medium or LinkedIn Pulse (which has its own section dedicated specifically towards business professionals). Do some research into which topics might benefit from having additional perspectives added from outside experts like yourself; then pitch those ideas directly!

Leverage the power of podcasting.

Podcasting is a great way to share your message, reach more people and build trust with your audience. Podcasting is also a great way to connect with listeners who want more than just an article. They want more in-depth content that can help them solve their problems or learn something new.

Podcasting has become extremely popular over the last few years because it allows you to build relationships with your listeners while sharing valuable information they can use in their lives!

Follow these steps to grow your blog, podcast, or other online business!
