Ignorance Vs. Stupidity

If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.

Hey loves, welcome back.

I hope you are enjoying your year so far. I feel my seasonal depression slowly leaving.

As the weather gets better, I’ve noticed everyone around me in a better mood and I love it. If you are new here, I wanted to welcome you. To those, who already apart of the family “welcome”. If you aren’t already subscribed, be sure to hit that follow button!

Also, be sure to check out my most recent post. In that post, I talk about fair-weather friends and why you should stay away from them.

What is Ignorance?

ig·no·rance/ˈiɡnərəns/Learn to pronouncenoun

  1. lack of knowledge or information.

stu·pid·i·ty/st(y)o͞oˈpidədē/Learn to pronouncenoun

  1. behavior that shows a lack of good sense or judgment.
My Thoughts

There is a major difference

01.

Ignorance is a Choice

I’ve notices that a lot of people choose to be ignorant. Being ignorant means you lack awareness. Which is why I talk about how important self-awareness is.

02.

Ignorance is Bliss

I know you’ve heard that before. This quote is absolutely right. Have you ever met someone who isn’t living in the truth, who was sad? I haven’t. They always seem to be in a good energy.

03.

Any level of intelligence person can be ignorant

The smartest people in the world can be ignorant in any subject. It’s just their refusal to educate themselves. For example the topic of politics.

Behind every argument is someone’s ignorance.

Both Words

Both words are used in a negative sense most the time.

Have you ever said something not so smart, and it’s not because you’re stupid, but because you’re not an expert at the subject yet?

This is what

You should keep in Mind

Samuel Butler

“The truest characters of ignorance are vanity, and pride and arrogance.”

Thomas B. Macaulay

“Half knowledge is worse than ignorance.”

 Nicholas Lang

“Ignorance is voluntary misfortune.”

Ignorance vs. Stupidity

In Conclusion

You should always be educating yourself and never argue with an ignorant person. I learned this the hard way when trying to discuss racism. I learned the lesson to never do that again.

  1. Love your take on ignorance and stupidity. Take the subway in NYC and your eyes and hears will scream stupid!! Winter months are most often cold and gloomy and we sometimes fall into the winter blues. During the Summer, people are more happier. In the Caribbean, where there is summer all year, the people there are very 😊 and chilled on their island 🏝. Not because i am Jamaican, but 🇯🇲 is one of such island.
