Hey loves and Welcome Back to Thoughtbase. I am coming with the good stuff today. I want to give a disclaimer, these are my opinions (from my perspective). These are just common questions searched for on the internet. But first, for more posts like these, subscribe below so you don’t, miss out.

What are the top three relationship killers?

  • I feel like trying to change the other person can really mess up a relationship. You chose that person for who they are. Don’t get with someone based on their potential. I learned that the hard way.
  • No communication is what kills. many relationships. People just expect you to read others minds and that’s not realist. This is actually one of my pet peeves. So many arguments can be avoided if people would just communicate.
  • Ego is a mf. Excuse my French. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen relationships die due to someone protecting their ego.

What’s an unpopular opinion you have about relationships?

I feel like social media has messed up the dating experience. It’s not as fun as our elders tell us it should be. My Generation and GenZ have been exposed to so many options that we wouldn’t have met without social media. It sucks sometimes because people always think there’s better.

What is the most common red flag at the beginning of a relationship that people ignore?

I would say starting off with picking the wrong partner and rushing the relationship. My last relationship ended because I did;t see him in all seasons. I didn’t know the real him.

Why is communication important in relationships?

Relationships are based upon it. Building trust and vulnerability depend on it. If there is no communication, assumptions may result, and we all know the consequences. Many people feel the need to keep their egos in check and do not communicate effectively. I used to hate trying to bring up an issue with this guy because he assured me I was trying to argue. Essentially I just wanted to talk about how something was affecting me emotionally.
