In today’s society, we are bombarded with images and messages that dictate what the “perfect” body should look like. This unattainable standard has led to the rise of bodyshaming and the perpetuation of diet culture, both of which have damaging effects on our mental and physical well-being. Feelings of Inadequacy

Bodyshaming, whether overt or subtle, can have a profound impact on individuals’ self-esteem and body image. From being made fun of for their size to being pressured to conform to a certain beauty ideal, people often internalize these negative messages, leading to feelings of inadequacy and shame about their bodies. At the same time, diet culture promotes the idea that thinness equals health and happiness, pushing for restrictive eating habits and extreme exercise routines. This obsession with achieving a certain body size or weight can lead to a harmful cycle of yo-yo dieting, disordered eating behaviors, and a distorted relationship with food.
