The Comfort Shows & Movies I’ll Always Rewatch

There’s something special about the movies and TV shows you can watch over and over again. They become more than entertainment. They feel like comfort, nostalgia, and sometimes even little pieces of your identity. The stories, the characters, the music… they stay with you.

When I think about the shows and films I’ve watched more than five times, they all have something in common: they shaped different parts of my life growing up and even now. These are the ones I can press play on at any moment and still feel the same excitement.

Glitter

One movie I’ve watched countless times is Glitter starring Mariah Carey. Despite the criticism it received when it first came out, this film has always had a special place in my heart. The story of a young woman chasing her dream of becoming a singer while navigating love, identity, and the music industry is powerful to me.

The soundtrack alone makes it worth watching repeatedly. There’s something inspiring about seeing a woman push through adversity to pursue her voice and talent.

Pretty Little Liars

Another show I’ve rewatched more times than I can count is Pretty Little Liars. The mystery, drama, and friendship dynamics kept me hooked from the beginning. Even when you know who “A” is, the twists, secrets, and suspense still make it entertaining.

But beyond the mystery, I loved watching the characters grow up and navigate complicated friendships, relationships, and personal struggles.

As Told by Ginger

As Told by Ginger will forever be one of the most underrated animated shows. What I loved about it was how real it felt. The show talked about friendship, insecurity, fitting in, and growing up in a way that was honest and relatable.

It didn’t treat kids like they couldn’t understand deeper emotions, and that’s probably why it’s so memorable.

That’s So Raven

Growing up, That’s So Raven was one of the funniest and most iconic shows on TV. Raven-Symoné brought so much personality and comedic timing to the character of Raven Baxter.

The fashion, the chaos of her psychic visions, and the wild situations she’d get herself into made every episode entertaining.

7th Heaven

7th Heaven was another show I watched constantly. It had that classic family drama feel while tackling real-life issues like relationships, peer pressure, and growing up. Even though it was centered around a large family, many of the situations felt relatable in different ways.

Reba

Whenever I want something lighthearted and funny, Reba is always a go-to. Reba McEntire made the show feel so authentic with her humor and personality.

It’s one of those sitcoms that balances comedy with real-life struggles, and the characters feel like people you could actually know.

Coyote Ugly

Coyote Ugly is another film I’ve watched over and over again. The energy, the music, and the story about chasing dreams while overcoming fear makes it such a fun and empowering watch.

It’s the kind of movie that makes you want to be bold, confident, and a little fearless.

Honey

Honey starring Jessica Alba is another classic I’ll never get tired of. As someone who appreciates creativity, I love how the film centers around dance, community, and believing in your talent even when doors keep closing.

The choreography and music make it impossible not to get energized watching it.

Stepmom

Lastly, Stepmom is one of the most emotional films I’ve rewatched. Starring Julia Roberts and Susan Sarandon, the movie explores family, love, and the complicated dynamics that come with blended families.

It’s the type of movie that can make you cry every time, no matter how many times you’ve seen it.

Why I Rewatch These Stories

Rewatching certain shows and movies feels like revisiting old memories. They remind you of who you were when you first watched them and sometimes even help you see the story differently as you grow.

For me, these films and series are more than entertainment. They’re comfort watches that I’ll probably keep returning to for years to come.
